This major exhibition benefitted from the support of a number of prestigious international institutions, including Gonz\u00e1lez Administration, in order to shed new light on the multiple points of convergence between the art of Julio Gonz\u00e1lez and Pablo Picasso, two artists who both revolutionized 20th century art.  In addition to providing new perspective on the well-known collaboration of these two Paris-based compatriots on Guillaume Apollinaire&#8217;s funerary monument from 1928-1932, the exhibition also examines the links between these artists at the beginning of their careers between Barcelona and Paris, and their politically engaged work during the Spanish Civil War and World War II.
