Picasso\u2019s works are accompanied by creations by his predecessors, his contemporaries and contemporary artists, which testify to the lasting impact of his work.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Julio Gonz\u00e1lez is represented with his sculpture\u00a0<em>Personnage allong\u00e9 II<\/em> (1936). Beyond the lasting friendship between Picasso and Gonz\u00e1lez, these two pioneers of Spanish modernity share a fruitful artistic collaboration around metallic sculpture between 1928-1932. <em>Personnage allong\u00e9 II<\/em>\u00a0 is typical of Gonz\u00e1lez&#8217;s mature period. The forms of this reclining figure have been transformed into Gonz\u00e1lez\u2019s personal language bordering on abstraction.
