This important French sculptor&#8217;s innovative work was inspired by Julio Gonzalez&#8217;s iron sculpture. C\u00e9sar&#8217;s &#8220;Welded Iron sculptures&#8221;, created in Paris the the postwar era, include human and animal figures, composed from sheet and scrap metal welded using industrial techniques. This creative process is clearly in line with Gonzalez&#8217;s revolutionary approach to metal sculpture.
